As part of the larger patient centered, value-based transformation projects (PVTP) at St. Joseph Medical Center, Legacy Engineering provided MEP design services for the renovation of 10,810 SF of space on the second floor of the main hospital. The scope of work included the conversion of existing space to 16 NICU rooms, two (2) airborne infectious isolation rooms and support spaces. Extensive modifications to the existing mechanical and electrical systems were required with the extension of a fully ducted HVAC system from an existing air handling unit.
